Pilling and doubled 600 (which also pilled)

I will write this for the Gold 600 I purchased.Great for 4-6 months, but pilling started. I should have known from the think, doubled feeling from the 600 thread count version to the 1200 thread count set that something might happen. Well it did, both 600 and 1200 have pilled, although soft and thick, don't know where something went wrong but pilling happened and annoys me that I spent so much money on a bad set.Dec 2013 update: The sheets are still thick and after washing on regular setting the pilling disappears while over time the sheets have become softer, still not as soft as I thought 1200 count would turn out to be.

Love these sheets!

Fantastic sheets! They're soft and they fit wonderfully, so no more nightly tug-of-war for the top sheet, or the bottom sheets coming off at the corners. We have a Select Comfort Sleep Number Split King bed. Before buying Luxor Treasurers Egyptian Cotton 650 Oversized sheets, the only sheets that fit were Select Comfort's 'In Balance' Sheets at about double the price. Crazy since Select Comfort sells other Split King sheets but they were all too small. Luxor Treasurers' bottom sheets are truly oversized and fit our 18' mattresses + 2' mattress pads well, so when we adjust a mattress to read in bed, the sheet doesn't pop off. The top sheet is wonderful. Soft and large so instead of fighting over who gets the most top sheet, it fits over both of us. I will definitely order more of these sheet sets!

Nice But Not What I Expected

I buy 650 thread count sheets because normally they are heavier which makes them perfect for winter in the south. This is the fourth set of 650 count sheets I have owned. They are also the most light weight of the bunch. These sheets at least in the split king, are more of a sateen and comparable to 350 count sheets I already own. They are nice. The fitted sheets are a little loose on our Select Comfort split king. Anyway, if they are truly 650 count I dont know where the difference is. Just be aware.

Beautiful color. Does not wrinkle much. Fits nice and snug. Top sheet could be a bit wider.

I only have expensive cotton high thread count sheets in my house. Took a risk and these sheets are wonderful. They have gone through two wash cycles and feeling better. No comment on color fade. These are black. No detectable dye transfer to other clothes from wash.
