Our History, Our Mission

Our History, Our Mission

Family effort, quality, passion, dedication… just a few of the values that have gone into our company since 1940.

My mother, Ferial, discovered the beauty she could bring out of a fine fabric. She worked hard and taught herself how to sew on her first sewing machine in 1954.

She married my father Mo –also an entrepreneur– in 1960 whom also shared this passion.

Together with my grandfather, they passed down to their children an appreciation for the beautiful Egyptian textiles. This had become their life’s work, which is now our life’s work.

We started this company with the sincere hope to be a leading source for home products with outstanding prices. We are dedicated to producing high quality products and ensure to go beyond your expectations.

Blue Nile Mills is an arm of Home City, Inc.. Our company represents three generations of experience with the highest quality Egyptian cotton, Bamboo, microfiber, and other fine textiles. What began as a small tailoring operation has become an international business bringing the best in luxury fabrics to both consumers and retailers.

We’ve slowly expanded our products to include sheets, comforters, pillows, towels, robes, duvets and area rugs, successfully maintaining the best pricing in the industry.

We pride ourselves on offering the highest quality of Egyptian cotton, Down Alternative, Supima Cotton, Cotton, Rayon from Bamboo, and Cotton Rich products. With our competitive pricing and exceptional service, you will be pleased with our line of Bedding and Bath products.

Home City, Inc. is headquartered in Edison, NJ, but we operate from other offices in the United States, as well as in Egypt, China, and India.

Today, while we have a lot more than a single sewing machine, we continue to be driven by the artistry and craftsmanship my mother fell in love with all those years ago.
